Shakespeare’s Guildhall Trust brings you – The Blackeyed Theatre Company..

The Autumn and Winter Tour from Blackeyed Theatre revives its acclaimed production. ‘The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.’ Nick Lane’s thrilling adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s dark psychological fantasy. Over 100 dates, coinciding with the re-opening of Theatres. The company are very excited to be playing in the magnificent St George’s Guildhall. It will be a very special night. Blake Kubena will play Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, his other roles - Vikings on History Channel; Othello, Alabama Shakespeare Festival; All’s Well that Ends Well, Minack Theatre. Zach Lee will reprise the role of Gabriel Utterson, Paige Round will play Eleanor Lanyon, and Sean-Cooke will play Hasting’s Lanyon.

Dr Henry Jekyll is a good man. Successful within his field and respected by his peers, he is close to a neurological discovery that will change the face of medical science forever. However, his methods are less than ethical and when a close friend and colleague threatens to expose and destroy his work, Jekyll is forced to experiment on himself, whereupon something goes very wrong…..or very right, Suddenly Jekyll has a new friend, the brutal Edward Hyde!

Combining ensemble storytelling, physical theatre, movement and Nick Lane’s razor-sharp script, alongside a new musical score by Tristan Parkes.
