100 years ago women finally got the vote in Britain. One of the great campaigners for this was the artist Sylvia Pankhurst, who has been called “the greatest Englishwoman of the twentieth century”.

SYLVIA tells her story against a background of 250 slides of her paintings and archive photographs. This “gripping reminder of our own – very recent – past” (TES) is followed by an audience discussion led by Jacqueline Mulhallen, the local author and actress.
