Marking the centenary of the first performance of Rhapsody in Blue, The BBC Big Band take to the stage for a swinging celebration of the music of George Gershwin.
Showcasing the music of one of the greatest composers of the Twentieth Century – whose work would go on to become a core part the ‘Great American Songbook’, the evening will feature a sparkling selection of Gershwin’s most popular and acclaimed work including Fascinating Rhythm, Porgy & Bess and of course a special swinging version of Rhapsody in Blue.
