Accessible Screenings

At Alive Corn Exchange we are committed to offering a great cinema experience to everyone. Our 2 screens have 1 wheelchair space each and lift access. We accept CEA cards for the cinema. 

Autism Friendly Screenings – We offer regular showings for guests with autism which have the sound turned down and lights dimmed. Children are welcome to move seats if they want, but we ask parents to not let them run around the screen. Toddler Tuesday – Designed exclusively for pre-school children and their parents/guardians. Audience participation is encouraged. For every paying adult (£4), up to two under 4's go free (additional children £2). Complimentary tea and coffee available. Unaccompanied children (and adults) will not be admitted. Don't forget to pick up your Toddler Tuesday loyalty card from the kiosk! Term time only. Subtitled Screenings – We have subtitled screenings showing a range of different films, so if you’re deaf or hard of hearing then these screenings are for you.

Access For All Screenings -  Film screenings in an adapted environment with lights dimmed and sound lowered. There is also a short interval about halfway through the film with guests welcome to take a break from the screen, make noise and move around as needed. These screenings are suitable for adults with dementia, any additional needs or sensory difficulties. Please note that pastoral care is not provided at these events and a friend, family member, or carer must also attend. £5 a ticket with one carer going free. Silver Screenings – A selection of some of the best recent and classic films shown every Thursday morning, aimed at people age 60+. Tickets are £4 each with tea/coffee and biscuits included. The next screenings can be found here.
