8pm Fatherland (2026) Cert 12A Running Time 1hr 22mins Tickets £6.50
Master filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski completes his post-war trilogy that began with 'Ida' and was followed by 'Cold War'. 'Fatherland' tells the story of the famous German author Thomas Mann and his daughter Erika, who take a road trip across a ruined Germany in 1949. Hanns Zischler and Sandra Hüller (once again) are outstanding in a film which quietly reveals the damage that the horrors of Nazism have brought to both individuals and the wider society.
