Schubert’s A minor Sonata or “Grand Duo” is substantial in scale and almost Beethovenian when compared with the composer’s earlier violin “sonatinas”. Fauré’s gentle Berceuse contrasts with Brahms’ last great violin sonata, which, as with Schubert’s violin sonata, is impassioned and on a larger scale than its predecessors.  Mabelle Young-Eun Park won the 1^st Strings Prize of the Royal Overseas League competition as well as many other awards. Archie Bonham has performed in the Wigmore Hall, the Salle Cortot in Paris and for Britten Arts.
