Judith Weir & Contemporary Consort

In this event showcasing her distinctive style, award-winning composer and former Master of the King’s Music, Dame Judith Weir, shares insights into her life and music in conversation with Ambrose Miller. The programme features four of her arresting compositions, including ‘St Agnes’ in a new arrangement and ‘Three Chorales’. Interwoven with Romantic-era pieces by Schumann, Schubert, and the Mendelssohns, a performance by Contemporary Consort highlights Weir’s dramatic, intimate language. Clarinettist Sarah Thurlow, cellist Clare O’Connell, and pianist Iain Farrington bring the works to life.
